This was a 2-semester long project, we were given the opportunity of full control over this assignment with a minimum footprint of 15,000 sq ft. For my project I wanted to create a new live-work solution for emerging artists, of various mediums, that can help them get on their feet and make a name for themselves. As per the nature of this project I needed a large footprint for the studio spaces and a separate second floor for the studio users who need a living solution along with a studio solution.
right off of the main entrance of the building you come across the cafe lounge, this space is intended to be a multi-use space, a place for studio members and the public to get a drink and a bite to eat, as well as space for studio members to relax and potentially, make connections to future buyers.

That being said, units one and two's studio spaces will be stacked on top of each other, while both units' living spaces will be stacked on top of each other.
On the second floor of the building, we have several types of living units, our main unit type being the overlapping lofts these are two different units that have lofted rooms that overlap the opposite unit. in both units, the sleeping/living areas will be positioned near the exterior of the building, while the private in-suit studio spaces will be located on the interior of the building close to the unit entrances.
